The French Quarter Resort

Staying at the French Quarter resort is like having the best of both worlds. You get a small resort with a great location that’s not much more than 10 minutes from both Magic Kingdom and Epcot. There are just over 1,000 rooms at the French Quarter, all which have been recently refurbished and in addition to new paint, curtains and bedspreads, the refurbishment also included changing the beds from full to queen size.
The only bus stop is located near the front enterance to the resort and is easily accessible no matter where your room is located.
Always a big hit with kids is sea surpent water slide at the pool where children can climb up and slide down his tongue and into the pool.
The French Quarter along with it’s sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside (which was the former Dixie Landings) sit along the Sassogoula River where you can take a boat to Downtown Disney or take a horse-drawn carriage ride through either resort.
The Skat Cat lounge at the French Quarter is a nice place to have a nightcap and enjoy some live jazz music.
And if it’s beignets you’re hungry for, you won’t have to go any further than the food court.
