This morning we arrived in Budapest, a beautiful city in which the Danube River runs through. The city is made up of two sides, Buda, the hilly section and Pest, the flat portion.
You can find good bargains when shopping here and the merchants will sometimes offer discounts when you’re purchasing multiple items. Scarves, which has become my new favorite souvenir on this trip, are abundant and less expensive than they were in Prague or Vienna.
Our ship is docked near the famous Chain Bridge which I can’t wait to see lit up tonight. We have a city tour this afternoon and our farewell dinner this evening.
For currency, they still use the Forint in Budapest but they will accept Euros and some shops will even post their prices in Euros also. But if they don’t, just ask and they’ll tell you.
More about the city tour later~
