There’s No Shortage of Entertainment in Disney

Even though Pleasure Island closed it’s clubs a couple years ago, there’s plenty of options for those who want a night life experience in Walt Disney World.
My favorite Disney band, Mulch, Sweat and Sheers will be performing 5 nights a week at the Rock and Glow Dance Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the Summer Nightastic celebration. If you’ve missed this band during the day when they randomly arrive in a pick up truck in Hollywood Studios, you have to see them this summer.
Another entertainment favorite of mine is the live piano bar with dueling pianos at Jellyrolls near the Boardwalk. I had this place on my “to do” list in Disney for years before I found the time and end-of-the-day energy to go. During my last trip I made the time to go. It’s a fun adults only environment where you can sip your favorite beverage and sing along to familiar tunes.
Another fun place for evening entertainment is the River Roost Lounge at Port Orleans Riverside Resort.
Entertainer Bob Jackson has been performing there Wednesdays through Saturdays for more than 10 years. He has a comic piano sing-a-long that should not be missed.
If you’re looking for more laid back entertainment the Skat Cat Lounge at the French Quarter provides just that with Jazz musician Elliot Dyson.
If you’re a sports fan looking for entertainment, you won’t want to miss the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk.
With more TV’s than I could count, this place is a sports fans dream. And last year when my flight was delayed arriving, and I didn’t check into my room at the Beach Club till 11:30 p.m., it was the ESPN Club that still served food till midnight so we could grab something to eat.
